Neurographics
BEYOND THE WELL-WORN PATH
Sometimes we know a situation so well that we stop seeing it clearly.
We replay the same thoughts, follow the same mental paths, and arrive at the same conclusions, rinse and repeat.
Neurographics invites us to step away from what we think we know for a little while…to side-step the logical part of our brain that tries to solve problems in a linear way.
There’s no artistic skill is required, just a willingness to begin with a line and see where it leads.
What is neurographics?
Neurographics is a form of process art.
Unlike a traditional art class, there is no picture you're trying to create and no finished result you're aiming for. The process follows a simple framework, combining structure and creative freedom as the drawing unfolds one step at a time.
Inspired by the idea of neural pathways, neurographics invites us to engage with a question through line, form, and colour.
The goal isn't to solve a problem.
It's to slow down, explore, and create space for new perspectives to emerge.
How does it work ?
A 90-minute session includes:
• A brief conversation about the question, challenge, or theme you'd like to explore
• A guided neurographic drawing process
• Time to work quietly and follow your own creative instincts
• Gentle reflection on what emerged
You are welcome to continue working on your drawing afterward or simply keep it as a reminder of the experience.
Who is this for ?
This work may be a good fit if you:
• Would like a fresh perspective on a situation
• Are moving through a season of change
• Enjoy journaling, creativity, or reflective practices
• Feel drawn to explore something without needing immediate answers
• Would like to reconnect with play, imagination, and self-expression
(If your inner perfectionist wants to create a masterpiece, we'll gently invite them to take the afternoon off.)
I've always been drawn to the “side door.”
The direct route doesn't always take us where we need to go. Sometimes insight arrives through a memory, a question, a drawing, or an hour spent listening to the body.
My work—whether through massage, memoir, or neurographics—is about creating space for curiosity, reflection, and new perspectives.

Since you asked
-
This is not art therapy, but it is a therapeutic art practice.
I am NOT an art therapist, an art critic, or a psychologist.
-
For sure we’ll take the time to talk about your drawing, but there is no formal “diagnosis” involved.
You might notice a distinct shape emerges- or more than one. You might notice you are drawn to a certain colour- or repulsed by it. Interesting! Stay curious. -
This art is most enjoyable when you have the following on hand:
pencil
average quality paper (so the markers don’t bleed though onto the table!)
sharpie-style markers, thin and/or thick
pencil crayons
a pencil sharpener for your favourite colour
Here are some other things I’ve used and enjoyed:
waxy crayons/pastels
water-colour paper
water-colour pencil crayons
regular printer paper
-
Perfect!
If you can move a pencil across a page, you can do neurographics. I promise, this is NOT about being “artistic”- it’s about being curious.

Once you've booked your session, you'll receive a short intake form. Your responses help me tailor the experience to the question, theme, or situation you'd like to explore.
Before our session, I'll review your responses and prepare prompts to support your process.
All you'll need is a quiet space, a few simple drawing materials, and a willingness to begin.
